Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia Care Seminar

Loretta Shacklett, founder of Simplify Senior Living, is proud to announce that she is now certified to offer the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar. The ADDC training is the required seminar for those pursuing certification to qualify as a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) or those who want to enhance their dementia education.

Note: The requirement for certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) is attending the 8-hour in-person or online Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar and receiving a Certificate of Attendance. You then apply to the NCCDP for Certification. In addition to the course cost, there is an application fee/certification fee charged by the NCCDP. Please see NCCDP.ORG for more information.

Who Should Attend?

Healthcare professionals, administrators, geriatric care managers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, activity professionals, social workers, nurses, nursing assistants, and individuals interested in pursuing the CDP designation or enhancing their dementia education.

Diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, communication, feelings, depression, repetitive behavior, paranoia, hallucinations, wandering, hoarding, aggressive behavior, catastrophic, reactions, intimacy and sexuality, personal care, pain, nutrition, activities, environment, staff and family support, diversity, spiritual care and end of life.

Class Schedule: Classes are offered on one Sunday per month from 8am-3pm
